To behold the glory of Christ is to experience the power that raised Him from the dead unleashed within us. As we look upon His radiance, we are ignited with immortal life and caught up into the transcendent reality of our identity as sons and daughters of God- Brian Simmons
Imagine being granted a glimpse into the spiritual destiny of the Church for the next century. A tantalizing revelation that unveils the incredible journey awaiting believers, culminating in the manifestation of immortal sons and daughters of God. This extraordinary vision was granted to the revered prophet, Bob Jones, and has come to be known as the “100 Years Prophecy.” Prepare to have your paradigms shifted as we delve into the profound depths of this prophetic utterance.
In the heart of a generation marked by spiritual hunger and an insatiable desire for authentic encounters with the Divine, Bob Jones, a seasoned prophet, and son of the Kingdom, received a remarkable prophecy. This revelation, spanning a century, offers a roadmap of the Church’s spiritual evolution, guiding believers towards the ultimate reality of becoming immortal sons of God.
The 100 years prophecy delivered by Prophet Jones captures the inherent realities of all believers – those who have been made new creatures in Christ, as the apostle Paul declares, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17). However, it is incumbent upon believers to actively engage and activate these realities by fixing their gaze upon Christ, the perfect embodiment of the new creation. As we behold Him, we are transformed into His likeness, “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord” (2 Corinthians 3:18).
Viewing these prophetic utterances through this lens is essential; they are not merely past, present, and future moves of God, but rather reminders or introductions to the realities we embody as sons of God. The apostle John affirms, “Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is” (1 John 3:2). These prophecies unveil the glorious destiny prepared for us as joint heirs with Christ (Romans 8:17).
Roadblocks to Our Reality
If these are indeed our realities in Christ, why then do many of us within the Ecclesia fail to walk in the reality of these truths? The answer lies in the lack of knowledge and understanding, as Hosea 4:6 laments, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” Many of us are unaware of the profound implications of Christ’s death, resurrection, and ascension; we merely assume we comprehend. Without accurate understanding of these pivotal events and their significance, believers will not be able to walk in the reality of all that is true of them as new creations in Christ.
Furthermore, disbelief also hinders the experiencing of these realities; When we fail to exercise faith in the finished work of Christ and the power of His resurrection, we remain bound by our old nature/mindset and limited perspectives.
Another factor is that many of us have yet to understand that mere mental assent is insufficient; believers must have an experiential knowledge of the realities embodied in Christ. As James 1:22 exhorts, “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” True spiritual knowledge transcends mental ascent and intellectual understanding; it is experiential and transformative.
The Ultimate Obstacle: Inconsistent Beholding
Lastly, the greatest obstacle we face is our lack of consistency in practicing the one singular art that can activate and unleash the potent life within us – beholding Christ. The apostle Paul emphatically instructs, “Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things” (Colossians 3:2). It is through consistently fixing our unwavering gaze upon the radiant glory of Christ that the Spirit divinely transforms us from one degree of glory to another (2 Corinthians 3:18).
Beholding the Lord is not a passing glance or mere mental exercise. It is the intentional, steadfast contemplation of His beauty, truth, and majesty that reshapes us into His likeness. When we make beholding Christ the singular priority and delight of our souls, the Spirit activates the reality of the new creation life pulsing within us. Our spiritual senses become awakened, our faith is invigorated, and the very atmosphere of heaven permeates our being. It is in this sacred place of beholding that we experience the potency of our union with Christ and participate in the glorious reality prepared for the sons of God.
